PhD Details

Shiva’s PhD explores human gait model development for objective analysis of Pre/Post gait characteristics following Lumbar spine surgery. Her research introduces a sensor-based system to capture the gait events in clinical environments to assist medical practitioners in objective analysis of gait abnormalities and the early identifications using machine learning techniques. She published multiple articles in reputed international journals and conferences and her topics of interest include data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning, biosensors and biomedical technologies.

Thesis submitted for examination December 2019 through Curtin University of Technology.

Shiva is a biomedical engineer who is completing her PhD studies as a researcher at Curtin University of Technology Perth. She is also working as an R&D engineer at Siemens Australia.

Shiva is a member of the ACHI fellowship by the training program and HISA student network committee. She is highly interested in digital health and health informatics and patient about healthcare systems improvements through the new technologies.
